About the Series

Good evening, Ladies and Gentlemen. True Human Tribulation is an anthology series about normal, everyday humans fighting against forces that are way beyond them.

Rather than submitting to their unfortunate circumstances, they choose to rise to the occasion. They resolve to make their situation even the slightest bit better. If not for themselves, then for those who come after them.

The general setting of most entries could be described as Urban Fantasy with Nobledark themes. This website meant to serve as a single convenient place to access every entry made for the series. Whether that be games, artwork, written works, or movies.

Contribution

The series is a collaborative fiction project of which anyone could contribute with pretty much whatever they want. Any story can be accepted as long as it follows one simple rule:

The Human Limit Rule

The protagonist must have no innate magical, superhuman, or supernatural capabilities of any kind; nor would they have the potential to gain any either.

The main character must be a normal human. Nothing that outright exceeds what an average human in real life would be able to do. However, depending on the medium, the rule may be less strict. For example: Video Games, where some aspects of realism would have to be ignored in favor of a more enjoyable gameplay experience.

Really, what matters is to not break the audience's sense of disbelief. You just have to make it convincing, and make everything the protagonist does feel believable. Basically, just keep them down to earth.

Submission Process

If you had created an something that you want added to the series. All you have to do is contact me, the Founder, or someone of equal level. (Refer to the Contacts page for information on how to do that.)

From there, the following things will happen:

First, I will personally take a look at the entry to check if it complies with the Human Limit rule and if it aligns with with of the series. If it doesn't, I'll be sure to let you know why, so you could adjust. If you're in the midst of working on an entry, you are always free to consult me about anything.
Second, I will proceed to ask you a couple questions about the entry itself. This is to make sure that you actually made it yourself, and to confirm that the work wasn't plagiarized, stolen, traced, or made with AI.
Once everything is good to go. I will open an poll on the community discord server, and from people would vote on whether your entry should be added to the series.
If the majority voted: yes, than that would be it! Your entry would be offically added to the series, and your name would be added to the Contributors page of this website! (That is, if you consent to that of course.)

The bar is actually lower than you might think. As long as your entry follows the Human Limit rule, it has a good chance of being accepted if it's not problematic.

Discord Server

If you wish to interact with the community, vote on polls for upcoming entries, or perhaps collaborate with others, you can join the official True Human Tribulation discord server.

All you have to do is click the "Discord" button on the navbar, and it should take you to the server. You should also know that the server uses Wick, and you need to verify if you want to send messages. This is to prevent spam bots.
